Museum-estate "Zaosye"

The house-museum in Novogrudok is not the only memorial place associated with the life of Adam Mickiewicz in Belarus. The future poet was born in the family estate - the Zaosye falvarka - on Christmas Eve 1798, and two centuries later a manor-museum was opened here. Gentry court of the XVIII-XIX centuries. restored on ancient foundations according to the surviving drawings of Mickiewicz's friend Napoleon Orda and teacher of the Novogrudok gymnasium Eduard Pavlovich. In the center - the master's house with a reed roof, next to it - flower beds, a pond with a bathhouse on the shore, a two-story barn with a summer room for a young poet, agricultural buildings. The basis of the exposition is Mickiewicz's famous poem "Pan Tadeusz", thanks to descriptions from which and real rarities, guests can see how a noble family lived several centuries ago.
